Aurigo Software announced its product integration with Autodesk Construction Cloud. The collaboration is aimed at improving the alliance between public and private infrastructure owners and the contractors with whom they work. According to an AEC Cafe report, Aurigo’s Masterworks is now connected with Autodesk Construction Cloud’s PlanGrid.

Construction teams require cloud solutions that improve collaboration between office and field workers so as to scale back mistakes that cause costly rework and schedule overruns. This would give the best returns from the investment on capital projects. Aurigo and Autodesk announced a strategic alliance in April, 2020. The alliance is aimed at providing a comprehensive set of cloud-based solutions for capital planning and infrastructure development.

This first integration between Aurigo’s flagship solution, Masterworks, and PlanGrid will bring companies closer. This will enable them to deliver an end-to-end technology platform that will facilitate the design, planning, construction, and operations of infrastructure and private assets too. Both Masterworks and PlanGrid are widely adopted in the industry.

Customers using Masterworks and PlanGrid will now be able to link their projects across both the cloud solutions. The information will automatically update in both the solutions, even if the user enters project information such as plans, RFIs, tasks, issues, or documents into either application. This transfer between Masterworks and PlanGrid will eliminate double entry, reduces errors and omissions, and streamline administration activities on capital projects to save time.

Balaji Sreenivasan, CEO and founder of Aurigo Software, said that contractors and owners need collaborative capital planning and construction management solutions, especially on major infrastructure projects that often span large distances, and during the current pandemic, where social distancing and safety are critically important. He believes that integration between PlanGrid and Aurigo Masterworks will allow both contractors and owners to work more effectively and efficiently.

Michael Sturdivant, Engineering Project Manager at the City of Las Vegas, an Aurigo customer, said that they constantly need to be in touch with the contractors in order to anticipate anything that may impact schedules or budgets. Now they’ve automated their capital program planning and project management processes so their entire team can remain connected and work from the most up-to-date plans.

Jim Lynch, vice president and general manager, Autodesk Construction Solutions, stated that Aurigo Masterworks’ integration with PlanGrid will help teams remain in sync with one another to keep projects moving along schedule and within budget. He also added that Aurigo, Autodesk Construction Cloud together can drive productivity for construction teams and help make the foremost of each project dollar to deliver the infrastructure needed.
