A move to Barclays followed in 2014, and in 2016 she became Assistant Vice President, Trading and Working Capital. In 2017, Carly joined IAG Cargo, and in 2019 became its Head of Innovation, leading their Hangar 51 Accelerator Programme.

Ordnance Survey appoints Carly Morris as Head of Geovation

Ordnance Survey (OS) has announced the appointment of Carly Morris as Head of Geovation, its initiative to propel innovative start-ups using location and property data to the next level. Carly, who graduated from the University of Durham, First Class with honours, began her career at Air France.

A move to Barclays followed in 2014, and in 2016 she became Assistant Vice President, Trading and Working Capital. In 2017, Carly joined IAG Cargo, and in 2019 became its Head of Innovation, leading their Hangar 51 Accelerator Programme.

Paul Cruddace, Head of Innovation and Geovation at Ordnance Survey says: “We are delighted Carly is joining us to lead the Geovation team. Since its inception, Geovation has firmly established itself within the British start-up and entrepreneurial community and supported the UK economy. I am looking forward to working with Carly, as we build on this and help Geovation break new territory.”

Geovation has more than 800 members, and its Programme, since launching in 2015, has to date helped 125 start-ups introduce innovative digital products and services to their respective markets. These start-ups have raised more than £86M in third-party funding and created 566 new jobs.
